Dr. Marko E. Alanis was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley. Dr. Alanis is a graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, where he earned his B.S. degree in Biomedical Science in 1996. In 2001, he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. While a student at Balylor College of Dentistry, he was awarded the Dean's List for his extraordinary academic and clinical acheivments.
Upon graduation from dental school in June 2001, Dr. Alanis began practicing general dentistry in Alamo, Texas. In February of 2008, he was very excited to open his private practice in Edinburg, Texas. He has focused his practice in providing quality dentistry in a friendly and comfortable enviroment. His dental practice offers his patients the latest in dental technologies.
Being raised and married to a family of educators, Dr. Alanis has learned the value of life long learning and continued growth. He has committed himself professionally to enolling in continuing education courses that allow him to stay abreast of the latest advances in dentistry. Dr. Alanis also sees himself and his staff as a resource to help educate his patients to achieve their optimal oral health. He has a strong conviction to the value of education.
Giving back to the community is a high priority and committment for Dr. Alanis. He has held numerous board positions on multiple dental organizations both at the local and state level. Dr. Alanis has also been a volunteer dentist for Dentist Who Care since his graduation in 2001. Dentist Who Care is a private non-profit charitable organization that provides dental services to low income children in the Rio Grande Valley who would otherwise have no access to dental care. Recently, he has joined Rotary International in Edinburg, Texas as a way to continue his efforts at the community level.

Dr. Alanis and his wife Marissa (Ramirez) Alanis, a native of Edinburg, Texas were married in December of 2002. They are the proud parents of Diego and Juliana.
Dr. Alanis is excited to be back and is looking forward to many years of service to the people of the Rio Grande Valley.
